Another feather in our CEO’s cap Dr Hema Divakar has been installed as President of Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Group India (DIPSI).

Dr Divakar has spent a considerable amount of time in the advocacy of preventing and managing Gestational Diabetes. It all starts in the womb, she says... hence the care should also start there.

The phenomenal increase in the prevalence of Diabetes in Pregnancy prompted the formation of ‘Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Group India (DIPSI)' in 2004. This group is necessary as within the next decade the country will be having 20 million women in reproductive age and there is a need to have systematic study on pregnancy medicine.
